Theatre Team Lead – Scrub Nurse
Location: Kingston upon Thames
Setting: Private Surgical Hospital
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: up to £50,000

We are proud to be working with a well-established private surgical hospital in Kingston upon Thames in their search for an experienced and motivated Theatre Team Lead – Scrub Nurse.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior scrub nurse with leadership experience who is passionate about delivering outstanding perioperative care in a modern, patient-focused setting.

Role Overview: As Theatre Team Lead (Scrub), you will lead a team of scrub practitioners to ensure safe and effective clinical practice across a range of surgical specialities, including orthopaedics, general, ENT, and gynaecology.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day clinical operations within theatres
• Supporting and developing junior staff
• Ensuring compliance with clinical governance and safety standards
• Working closely with consultants and the wider MDT to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Supporting service improvements and audits

What We’re Looking For:

• NMC or HCPC registration (RGN or ODP)
• Significant experience as a scrub nurse or ODP in theatres
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative care
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
