Home Manager – Brand new home, Commissioning Manager
£80,000

As Home Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day running of a residential care home, building a positive team culture and upholding high standards of person-centred care. As a Commissioning Manager this is your chance to be there from the very beginning – shaping the culture, setting high standards, and building a team that shares your dedication to exceptional care.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the home, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Provide strong leadership across care, hospitality and support teams
  • Oversee care planning, audits, and CQC readiness
  • Monitor and manage occupancy, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Ensure resident needs are met with dignity and personalised care
  • Promote good communication with families, teams and external professionals
  • Carry out team supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing development
  • Ensure regulatory notifications are completed and all records are accurate
  • Build local partnerships to integrate the home into the wider community
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for residents and staff

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within a care or nursing home
  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Leadership and Management
  • Confident understanding of care regulations and CQC standards
  • A warm, collaborative leadership style with strong people skills
  • Excellent organisational, communication and IT proficiency
  • Ability to balance care quality with commercial awareness
  • Previous commissioning experience is desirable
