Senior Support Worker
Location: Middle Barton
Salary: £15.40 – £16.00 per hour  
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week  
Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence
 
A well-established residential care provider is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join their friendly team at a children’s home in the Middle Barton area. This home supports young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), offering a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
If you’ve already stepped into a senior role or bring strong experience in children’s residential care, this could be the fresh challenge you’re ready for.

 The role includes:

  • Leading by example and supporting the day-to-day running of the home
  • Creating safe, engaging spaces for young people to thrive
  • Supporting and supervising a small team of care professionals
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with children in care
  • Writing and updating care plans and behavioural support records

 
 What you’ll need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
  • At least 12 months’ experience in residential children’s care
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • A caring, flexible attitude with strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work variable shifts (including weekends and sleep-ins)
