Part-time | 30 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 – £42,400 (pro rata)
Location: Chelmsford
We are seeking an experienced Family Therapist to join a supportive and compassionate multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and their families, helping to address mental health challenges and strengthen family relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their families within a CAMHS setting.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflict, and fostering positive relationships.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement tailored care plans.
- Assess family dynamics, identifying key factors that impact the young person’s wellbeing.
- Support families by promoting coping strategies, resilience, and understanding during treatment.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong foundation in psychological theories and therapeutic approaches specific to family systems.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in clinical or community environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and manage complex family dynamics.
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to diverse family structures and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary mental health teams.
- Emotional resilience, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
