Occupational Therapist / Senior Occupational Therapist

Full-Time or Part-Time | Permanent or Locum Considered
We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team within a school setting in Essex.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting children and young people within an educational environment, helping them to achieve greater independence and reach their full potential.
The Role You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, intervention, and tailored support to pupils with a range of needs. The role involves close collaboration with teaching staff, families, and external professionals to embed therapeutic strategies into the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out functional and sensory assessments
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans
- Provide guidance and training to school staff
- Contribute to EHCP reports and annual reviews
- Support pupils in developing independence, motor skills, and sensory regulation
About You
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children and young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong understanding of sensory integration and neurodevelopmental needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Senior applicants should demonstrate leadership or supervisory experience
