Ward Manager – CAMHS Inpatient Service (Chelmsford)
Salary: Up to £53,700 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Service: 11-bed CAMHS Inpatient Unit (Ages 13–18)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Ward Manager to join a brand-new, purpose-built CAMHS service in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic time to join our client as they open a state-of-the-art facility and establish a high-quality service for young people in Essex.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Ward Manager to provide strong clinical and operational leadership for their 11-bed inpatient unit for young people aged 13–18. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment where patients can thrive and recover.
The Ward Manager will play a key role in embedding best practice, supporting staff development, and promoting a positive, inclusive culture across the service.
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
- Experience in CAMHS or acute mental health inpatient care
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
