Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

The Role

As a Surgical Ward Nurse, you will be working across a mixed-speciality ward, including orthopaedics and other elective surgical procedures. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals throughout their surgical journey — from admission to discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care
• Monitor and assess post-operative patients
• Manage care plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Support and educate patients and families
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and infection control standards

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
• Previous experience in a surgical ward setting (orthopaedics desirable)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
