Recovery Nurse / ODP – Private Hospital (Glasgow)
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent
Location: Glasgow

About the Role

A leading private hospital in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Recovery Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join its established theatre and recovery team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly reputable and modern clinical environment, supporting patients throughout their post‑operative journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and high‑quality post‑operative recovery care to patients following a range of surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, manage airways, and ensure patients progress safely from anaesthesia to discharge criteria.
• Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons and theatre teams to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Provide clear communication, reassurance and professional support to patients in the immediate post‑operative phase.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, infection control and clinical best practice.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Previous experience working in Post‑Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery is essential.
• Competent in airway management and post‑operative patient monitoring.
• Strong teamwork, communication and clinical assessment skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding patient‑centred care in a private healthcare setting.
