Job Title: School-Based Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Dudley
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our supportive, multi-disciplinary team working within a school setting in Dudley. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs, supporting their communication skills and helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based speech and language interventions tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and deliver targeted speech and language therapy interventions for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Support children with a range of needs including ASD, speech sound disorders, language delay, social communication difficulties, and complex communication needs.
  • Develop and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Provide practical strategies and training to school staff to support communication development in the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards.
  • Liaise with families and external agencies where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people with special needs.
  • Strong understanding of school-based therapy and educational frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
