Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: South Wales (Hybrid working available)
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate PBS Practitioner to join our team in South Wales. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining home-based work with on-site support across services as needed.
You will play a key role in improving quality of life for individuals by embedding Positive Behaviour Support approaches, developing high-quality PBS plans, and supporting teams to deliver person-centred, values-led care.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete functional behavioural assessments and develop robust, evidence-based PBS plans
- Provide direct and indirect support to individuals with complex needs
- Coach, train, and mentor staff teams in PBS values and best practice
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to reducing restrictive practices and promoting least restrictive approaches
- Monitor outcomes, review plans, and ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain high standards of documentation and professional practice
About You
You will be passionate about PBS and committed to making a meaningful difference. Ideally, you will have:
- A relevant degree (e.g. Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, Social Care or similar)
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of Positive Behaviour Support
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or complex behaviours
- Confidence delivering training and supporting staff development
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence and ability to travel across South Wales
