Location: Newcastle
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000
We are recruiting an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of supported living, residential, mental health and learning disability services based in and around Newcastle.
This is a hands‑on operational leadership role, requiring strong people management skills and experience overseeing multiple services.
The Role
- Operational management of supported living and residential services supporting adults with mental health and learning disability needs
- Line management, support and development of service managers and staff teams
- Oversight of service quality, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensuring safe, person‑centred care delivery across all services
- Managing staffing, rotas and operational challenges across the region
- Working collaboratively with senior leadership to support service improvement
About You
- Proven area, regional or multi‑site management experience within social care
- Background in supported living, residential services, mental health and/or learning disability settings
- Strong staff management and leadership capability
- Operationally focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good understanding of governance, compliance and quality standards
