Occupational Therapist – Children (Residential & School Based)
Location: Halifax
Salary: £45,000 + £3,600 car allowance
Contract: Full‑Time | Permanent
Working Model: Hybrid

We are recruiting a Children’s Occupational Therapist to join a well‑established service supporting children across a local specialist school and associated residential services in the Halifax area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT looking for a varied, hybrid role, working closely with education and residential teams to support children with complex needs.

The Role

• Provide occupational therapy support to children and young people across a specialist school and residential settings
• Work closely with education staff and residential care teams to deliver consistent, child‑centred interventions
• Complete functional assessments and develop tailored therapy plans
• Support children’s engagement, independence, and daily living skills
• Contribute to MDT working, reviews, and care planning
• Hybrid working model, balancing on‑site delivery with report writing and planning time

About You

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
• Experience working with children, ideally within school, residential, or similar care environments
• Confident working with complex needs, neurodiversity, and developmental challenges
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills
• Full UK driving licence (car allowance provided)
