60% travel across Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire
40% remote/admin work
Monday – Friday, 9 – 5
£40 – 49k + car allowance
How would you like the opportunity to support not only people living with dementia, but also the families and carers who support them every day? We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our client as an Admiral Nurse, providing specialist dementia support across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
This is a community-based role where you will work closely with families affected by dementia, offering emotional, clinical, and practical support throughout their journey.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of carers and families
- Carrying out community home visits and ongoing support
- Providing emotional and psychological support (stress, anxiety, grief, coping strategies)
- Supporting carers to manage dementia-related behaviours and challenges
- Working with GPs, community teams, and other services to coordinate care
- Acting as an advocate for families (with consent)
- Delivering education, guidance, and support to professionals and carers
- Contributing to audits, service development, and best practice
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (NMC PIN)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working with older adults, mental health, or dementia care
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Dementia/older adult mental health qualification
- Experience in community mental health or Admiral Nurse roles
- Therapeutic approach training (e.g. CBT, counselling skills)
