The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Recovery Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join a leading private hospital in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment, delivering high-quality post-anaesthetic care.

You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the recovery phase following surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of patient care within the recovery area
• Monitor patients post-operatively, assessing and responding to clinical needs
• Ensure patient safety and comfort following anaesthesia
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Support the continuous improvement of recovery services

Requirements

• NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered ODP
• Previous experience in a recovery or theatre setting
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
