We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with a strong orthopaedic background to join a leading private hospital in Brentford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated theatre professional looking to take the next step in their career within a modern and patient-focused surgical environment. Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding perioperative care across a varied orthopaedic caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert scrub support across a range of orthopaedic procedures, including joint replacements and sports injury surgery.
- Support the Theatre Manager in maintaining high clinical, operational and regulatory standards.
- Ensure safe, effective and patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior theatre staff.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety and professional practice standards.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration or Registered ODP with HCPC registration.
- Significant scrub experience within orthopaedic theatres is essential.
- Strong understanding of theatre protocols, clinical governance and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Previous senior or leadership experience within theatres would be advantageous.
