This position offers a varied and rewarding workload within a mixed-speciality private hospital environment. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the theatre department while maintaining a visible clinical presence and supporting the wider perioperative team.

  • Maintain high clinical and operational standards.
  • Assist with workforce planning, staffing and departmental performance.
  • Provide clinical support within theatres when required, including scrubbing for procedures.
  • Support endoscopy and pre-assessment services as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams and senior hospital management.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant standards and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to service development and operational efficiency.

About You Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
  • Significant theatre experience within a hospital setting.
  • Strong understanding of perioperative services and theatre operations.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Theatre Team Leader, Deputy Theatre Manager or Theatre Manager.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a strong clinical presence.
  • Passion for patient care and delivering high-quality clinical services.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within the independent healthcare sector.
  • Exposure to multiple surgical specialities.
  • Experience supporting endoscopy and pre-assessment services.
  • Previous involvement in service improvement and departmental development.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary up to £65,000.
  • 40-hour working week.
  • 1 day per week working from home.
  • Senior leadership opportunity within a respected private hospital.
  • Varied role combining management and clinical practice.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
