Are you an experienced RGN looking to step into a Clinical Lead role?
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join an established nursing home in Durham as Clinical Lead.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced RGN, Registered Nurse or Senior Nurse who enjoys being hands-on clinically while also taking responsibility for clinical leadership, team support and high standards of resident care.

As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager and wider care team, providing day-to-day clinical oversight and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

The role is 36 hours per week, made up of 24 hours on the floor and 12 hours supernumerary. This gives you dedicated time away from the floor to focus on clinical leadership, care planning, staff support, compliance and quality.

About the Clinical Lead role As Clinical Lead / RGN, you will:

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight within the nursing home
• Work hands-on as an RGN / Registered General Nurse alongside the care team
• Support and lead the nursing and care team
• Maintain high standards of clinical care and resident wellbeing
• Support care planning, medication, safeguarding and clinical governance
• Provide guidance and support to RGNs, Registered Nurses, Senior Nurses and Care Staff
• Work closely with the Registered Manager and wider management team
• Use your RGN clinical experience to support staff development and best practice

What are we looking for? We’re open to applications from experienced Clinical Leads, RGNs, Registered Nurses and Senior Nurses looking for their next step.
You’ll need:

• Active NMC PIN with no restrictions
• Registered General Nurse / RGN qualification
• Previous experience as an RGN / Registered Nurse within nursing homes, elderly care, dementia care or residential care
• Strong clinical knowledge and confidence working hands-on
• Previous leadership, supervisory or senior nursing experience
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care
