Are you a qualified Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people in a specialist school setting?

We are recruiting a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a supportive multidisciplinary team within a school in Dudley.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to work with children and young people with a range of special educational needs (SEN), SEND, autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and developmental needs.

You will provide tailored, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention, helping pupils develop the skills and confidence they need to become more independent and achieve their potential both in school and beyond.

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, families and other professionals to ensure occupational therapy is integrated into the wider educational environment.

We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist who is committed to helping children and young people with additional needs achieve greater independence.
You will ideally have:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people with additional needs.
  • Experience or knowledge of SEND/SEN, autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties or developmental coordination disorder (DCD).
  • An understanding of occupational therapy within an educational or specialist school setting.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • A person-centred and practical approach to therapy.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car – essential.
