Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting children and young people with complex needs?
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education and care provider in Wolverhampton for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join an established multidisciplinary clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions to children and young people with a range of SEND, complex communication needs, developmental trauma and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Working 2 days per week, you will collaborate with education, care and clinical professionals to create supportive, therapeutic environments that help young people develop their communication skills, emotional resilience and independence.
As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention, ensuring each child or young person receives personalised support tailored to their individual needs.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support colleagues to embed communication strategies and therapeutic approaches into everyday learning and care.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with complex needs.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with complex needs and communication difficulties.
- Experience delivering specialist therapeutic interventions.
- The ability to support and guide multidisciplinary teams around the needs of individual children.
- Strong communication, organisation and clinical reasoning skills.
- Confidence delivering training, guidance and practical strategies to education and care staff.
- A flexible, creative and child-centred approach.
- A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
Experience within SEND, specialist education, residential care, autism, developmental trauma or neurodevelopmental services would be particularly beneficial.
