£43,000 – £51,000 per annum

Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people?
We are working with a specialist school in Surrey that is looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work within a specialist education setting, supporting children and young people with a range of communication and complex needs.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work closely with pupils, families, teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to assess, develop and deliver individualised speech, language and communication support.
You will:

• Complete specialist speech, language and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes
• Provide direct and indirect Speech and Language Therapy interventions
• Support children and young people with a range of communication needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and other professionals
• Provide advice, training and guidance to education staff
• Contribute to pupils’ EHCPs, reviews and individualised support plans
• Monitor and evaluate progress and adapt interventions accordingly
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
• Promote communication development across the school environment
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive multidisciplinary approach

We are looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about working with children and young people and is confident working within a specialist education environment.
You will ideally have:

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Relevant Speech and Language Therapy qualification
• Experience working with children and young people
• Experience supporting individuals with complex communication needs
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and intervention skills
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, creative and child-centred approach

Experience within a specialist school, SEN, SEND, education or paediatric setting would be highly desirable.
